The Marketing Tab Follow
This is a part of the system where you can store a wide range of details related to the possible elements of a title's marketing campaign. The Marketing tab has 3 sub-tabs that break down the most likely elements of a campaign, from publicity to sales presentations, to retailer promotions, to advertising campaigns, to conferences where the title has been presented. None of the information here is mandatory; how you use it is up to your organisation.
Please note that the 'Report' tab, located at the end, is a static page that pulls in the information that you added from the other sub tabs.
Publicity / Press Sub-Tab
Here, you can enter any of your publicity / press activity, such as Advance Copies that you’ve sent out, email promotions, press kits, Contracted and Internal Publicity Campaigns and so on.
When you select ‘Create New’, you can select the marketing activity type, and assign it a name, before providing further details on the people or organisations you are working with, the status of the activity, whether any copies of the book were sent and the resultant reviews, conference features and print coverage.
Once you have recorded these activities, you will then be able to see a snapshot of them in this tab.
To record Organisation Contacts against Copies Sent, using the drop down menu, you must first configure this within the Organisation Admin, as shown here:
Alternatively, select 'Other' from the drop down menu, and a text field will appear, allowing you to manually enter the Organisation Contact name.
Note that in order for an organisation to appear as an option in the 'Represented by' field here above, you need to have the equivalent fields checked in the Marketing tab of that organisation's record.
Endorsements Sub-Tab
You can then separately track the endorsements that your product receives. Select ‘Create New’ to log a new endorsement or endorsement request.
Once you have logged the details, you will then be able to see a snapshot of all of your endorsements for the title.
