Bulk Uploading Tags Follow
It is possible to add Tags to titles in bulk via a spreadsheet upload. Before you do this, you need to make sure that the tags you want to upload exist in your database - for more information about why tags can be useful, and how to create them, see here.
Within your spreadsheet, you will need to include an identifier in the first column, and your subsequent columns will need to specify what kind of tag you would like to upload. Note that it is possible to upload two kinds of tags during a bulk spreadsheet upload in title manager:
- Title Tags - these tags appear at the title level, meaning that they will be added to all products/formats under a particular title.
- Book Tags - these tags appear at the product form level, meaning that each tag uploaded will only apply to the corresponding ISBN/identifier.
This means a spreadsheet aiming to upload both kinds of tags may look something like this:
Important note: you must make sure that all of your tags are separated by a semi-colon with no spaces. Each tag must end with a semi-colon, even if it is the only one in that cell.
Once your sheet is ready, click Upload on the main Book List screen, select your file and make sure that your columns are correctly mapped. More information about the general upload process can be found here.
Once you have done this, press Process File and you will be able to view the uploaded tags in the Tags Tab.
