Tags Follow
Tags will help you to more efficiently organise your contacts, contributors, titles & blog posts. They can have a hierarchical structure to help with the sorting and retrieval of data.
Using Tags
Tags Admin is the part of General Admin where you can view, edit and create these tags. These tags, once created, will then be available in the sections that you have assigned them to.
In Contributors and Contacts, they will be available for filtering along the heading of your lists. It is a handy and quick way to search for specific contacts. Below is an example of how this might look, including one of the sub-menus that we've created.
To assign a tag to a contact, contributor or organisation, navigate to Contacts, Contributors or Organisation Admin -> Find the relevant person / organisation-> Type Filters in the General tab. In the example below, you can see this within a contact record. The 'Type Filters' field is located in the same place for organisations and contributors.
When you create tags for Editorial and Title Manager (either a Book tag or a Content tag), they will appear in the Tags tab, as shown in the Editorial example below. In this example, you can categorise your project by market region or target audience. You can apply as many of the child tags as is appropriate. Here, 'Market Region' and 'Target Audience' have been created as parent tags, whilst Europe for example, has been created as a child tag.

If the item has a Parent tag, select from the drop-down menu. If you are creating a Parent tag, leave this field empty.
The Name/Description you add here should be relatively easy to recognise, and is related to the Tag Url will automatically be generated by your system once you type in the name/description above it.
Click the Create button when you are finished, and your tag will be created.
To edit a tag, just click on the relevant item from the main list and you will be taken to a screen where you can edit your tag. When you are happy with the changes, click on the Update button and your information will saved.
