Tags will help you to organise more efficiently your contacts, contributors, titles & blog posts.
Tags can have a hierarchical structure to help with the sorting and retrieval of data.
Tags Admin is the part of General Admin where you can view, edit and create tags.
You can tag a contributor/contact/title/news/event/blog post, with previously created tags. They will also populate drop down menu in Advanced Filters on your Contacts and Contributors list:
Tags will also appear in the heading of your Contacts list, which is a quick way to search for contacts:
When you select Tags from the General Admin menu you will be taken to this screen:
You can search for a tag by typing in the tag into the search box.
To remove a tag tick a box in front of the tag you wish to remove and click on Remove Selected.
To create a new one click on Create New and a new screen will show up:
Compulsory fields are marked with red “*”
Select a Tag Type from the drop down menu. Relevant to the area you wish the tag to show.
If the tag has a Parent tag, select from the drop down menu.
Give a Name/Description
Enter Tag Url
Click Create button when finished, and your tag will be created.
To edit a tag just click on the tag you wish to edit from the main list and you will be taken to the screen where you can edit your tag.
When you are happy with the changes just click on the Update button.
