Uploading Contributor Details Follow
This page is intended to provide specific detail on one particular type of upload. For our general guidance on the upload process, please see this page.
There are two different types of contributor upload that can be done in Title Manager. One involves assigning contributors to your titles. The other involves uploading data that you wish to store about your contributors within the Contributor database. This article will deal with the latter.
Whilst the majority of the column mappings on upload of your contributor spreadsheet are self-explanatory, there are a few that you may find a bit of guidance useful for. For a full list of the types of information that you can upload about your contributors, please see here.
To upload your file, follow the steps listed below:
1. Navigate to Contacts in the main left-hand menu of your system.
2. Click onto the second occurrence of Contacts.
You should then click the upload button on the top right-hand side of the screen. (please note that for contributors, this can also be done within Title Management --> Contributors).
Step 1, choose the file to upload. Select an xls, csv or text file. Please note that the system will not upload xlsx files.
Step 2, adjust the mapping. Each column heading in blue is clickable to change the column mapping. Choose "ignore this column" if you do not wish for the information in a particular column to be uploaded.
When you are happy with the mapping, click the "Process File" button. Your contributor information should be on your system now. Go back into each item and click on the 'contributor' button so that the information will link through to the contributor tab in a title record.

Assigning a 'Contact Type'
When bulk uploading, you can also indicate that this contact is a Contributor (essential), and if you wish them to be accessible in the royalties module.
To do so, you will need to include the following columns in your spreadsheet:
Addresses
| Column Header | Required Data |
| Address Type | Billing; Delivery; Home; Alternative; Work |
| Address Line 1 | Eg Flat 1 |
| Address Line 2 | Eg Example Street |
| Address Line 3 | Eg Example Village |
| Address Line 4 | City / Town Eg London |
| County / Province / State | Eg Greater London |
| Country | Eg United Kingom |
