Requesting a Custom Advanced Information Template

If you have explored our range of available Advanced Information (AI) templates, and you would like us to assist you in creating a custom template instead, there are a few key bits of information we'll need from you. 

How to request a custom template

1. Log a call with the helpdesk. Provide as much as information as possible here. For example, if you are looking for a slight tweak to an existing template that we have in Stison, let us know which template and what the change would be. Alternatively, if you're looking for a template made from scratch, please let us know.
2. We will provide a quote for the work, and will request the information detailed below.
3. Once you have provided us with this information, we will begin work, and provide you with an estimated completion date. 
4. Once we've built the template, we will share it with you and give you the opportunity to provide any feedback and request adjustments as necessary. 
5. Finally, we'll load it into your system and it'll be ready to use!

Information we need from you

1. Marked Up Example

We will need a fully marked-up example of the template that you would like us to create. Below is an example of what we are looking for.

2. Measurements - please provide all measurements for spacing, image size etc. Ideally, these would be provided in pt or px. We can convert from mm, but we cannot guarantee it will be an exact match.

3. Fonts - please let us know which fonts you would like to use. This includes Font Size, family and weight, for each component.

Where there are multiple, please highlight which sections use which font on the mark-up. We recommend Google Fonts, as they are free to access and simply to apply. You can find them here: https://fonts.google.com/ 

4. Images - please provide us with high-resolution versions of each image that will be used in the AI (eg logos), or alternatively, tell us what name it is saved under in Stison. 

5. For any information that may have variables, we need to know what to use. For example, if you would like the price included, please let us know which price type and currencies. Or for Rights: do you want us to use ‘AI Rights Description’ in rights tab, or we can use the rights comments in the same tab.

A common example of this is contributor roles. If you have contributors with different roles (eg edited by, compiled by) – which do you want us to use, and in what order? 

6. Changeable data. With some information, such as pricing, you may want one currency for one title, and another currency for another, depending on where you're using this sheet. We can make some information available to toggle - simply let us know where this is required. For example, let us know that you would like to be able to pull both USD and GBP Prices, and toggle them on or off.
