Liabilities Report Follow
Selecting Liabilities from the main Royalties Reports menu will take you to the section of the system where you can keep track of your payments due. You should enter your liabilities into your balance sheet as 'money owed'. This will help you manage your business cashflow more efficiently. If your business operates a single royalty configuration, you may do this by running a royalty run, gather the information and delete the run. If your organisation runs multiple configurations, then you will need this Liabilities Report instead.
Instead of catching up with all of your over due royalties, you may filter the reporting period.
First you will be taken to this screen where you can set the ranges:
Type in Contributor and/or Book Title or click on the looking glass symbol to select from the list of your publications or contributors. If you want to run across your entire catalogue then leave these two fields blank.
Set the date To date to reflect the date at which you wish to review your liabilities and click Go. You will then be taken to the screen with the report (in the example below, the report was searched by contributor):
Checking the correct Type box will allow you to see this report as a Summary, which will show you the Total Due per contributor. Detail is a report on each contributor - book pairing:
Or you can see it as Detail in which case you will see the titles as well:
To download the payment report, click on the blue Download XLS.
Tips and Tricks
If the report that you have run does not generate in screen, then it may be because the system has sent a link to the final report to you. This will appear as an email, which can be accessed via the area highlighted here:
