Profit Loss Report Follow
There are a number of inbuilt reports within the Stison system that enable you to analyse your data. Navigating to Sales and Royalties > Royalties reports provides you with access to all of the reports. The first on the list is the Profit Loss report, and it is generated from the entered sales and royalties data.
Profit and loss takes all the sales on a title, calculates the royalties due on those sales, payments already made and finally pulls in any costs entered into the system within the Production module.
Profit = net sales value - (royalties due - payments) - (production costs + fixed costs)
If your advances are more than net sales values, the report will show as a loss.
When clicking on Profit Loss from the main Royalties Reports menu, you will be taken to this screen:
You can generate the report by a Contributor and/or Book Title. You can also set the To date, until what date you wish to see the report. Type in a contributor and/or book title or click on the blue select button to choose from your list of publications and contributors. To clear the search box, click on the clear button. In the image below, we can see Profit Loss report of all titles by one contributor:
You can download the reports for individual titles by clicking on Download CSV under the publication title:

If the report that you have run does not generate in screen, then it may be because the system has sent a link to the final report to you. This will appear as an email, which can be accessed via the area highlighted here:
