Sales Summary Report

The sales summary screen can be used for all sorts of sales analysis. You can choose to report on required fields via the check boxes, adding and removing columns as you wish. You can search over any required date range. 

From the left-hand main menu, navigate to the Sales and Royalties module and then to the Royalty Reports / Sales Summary menu item. The following screen will appear:

You can then choose to run a report over a single title or contributor or your entire catalogue. 

The following check boxes are available: 

CheckBox	Detail	Sub Level
Retailer	Shows the retailer that executed the sale
Sales Type	Shows the sales type
Title	Shows the title of the content	Contributor
Form	Shows the form of the content (paperback, hardback, epub, pdf, etc.)	ISBN, Prod.Form, Pub Date, Default Price, Discount Code
Copies	Shows the number of copies
Amount	Shows the amount or value of the sales
Aggregate	This is a special column. When this is selected, you do not need to select copies or amount. The aggregate column sums across sales, returns and adjustments to return a single sales copy and value figure.

Using the Sales Summary screen, you can obtain your top sellers by value or by copy count and can then break this down by form or view just over content.

If no criteria is selected, a  dialogue will appear. This is purely there as a warning that all sales over all date ranges have been included in the output. 

Using the download button in the top right hand corner of the screen, you can download this sales information to Excel for further in-depth analysis.

It is also possible to add further filters by using the Advanced filter button:

Tips and Tricks

If the report that you have run does not generate in screen, then it may be because the system has sent a link to the final report to you. This will appear as an email, which can be accessed via the area highlighted here:
