Management Reports Follow
There are a number of inbuilt reports within Stison, some of which enable you to analyse your data and some of which generate dynamically from your data. The management reports are dynamically generated from your sales data.
Navigating to Sales and Royalties / Royalties Reports provides you with access to this. You can then view an overview of your sales data.
The General Tab
You will see a series of graphical views of what you have sold and to whom.
Details of the reports are as follows:
A: Year on Year sales for the last four years - each year as a separate pie chart segmented by sales type ie Print, Ebook, Rights
B: Year on Year sales by value for the last four years
C: Current year sales by subject
D: Current year sales by series
E: Year on year sales for the last four years; each year as a separate pie chart segmented by Front list and Back list.
F: Top Ten titles : Last 12 months by month
G: Top ten retailers : last 12 months by month
H: Monthly sales comparison over the last 4 years
I: Past year sales by year of publication
J: Year on year print sales: Month by month comparison
K: Year on year ebook sales: month by month comparison
L: Year on year Rights sales: month by month comparison
The In Development Tab
On this tab, you can see a simply overview of the number of titles published in each year, combined with the number of titles in development each year.
In the example below, in 2023 there were 13 books either published, or in development. Whereas in 2025, as this year is in the future, there are 4 books that are set to publish that year.
The Year on Year Tab
This tab allows you to see a year on year comparison of sales, costs and payments.
In the example below, you can see a graph showing the comparable figures for 2020-2023:
At the top of the page, you can:
- Alter the date range;
- Filter the data by imprint;
- Set whether the graph is based on Amount or Copies;
- Filter by Retailer;
- Filter by Series
Beneath the graph, you can also see this data in numerical form:
