Classifications Follow
Classifications can be found in the main left-hand menu of your system, and allows you to create more custom classification types. eg: Product Code, Profit Centre, etc. These can be internal codes or distributor codes. These classifications may be included in onix or they may be internal, for example catalogue classification codes.
Choosing Classifications from the main Categorisation menu will take you to this screen where you need to select the classification type you wish to edit. Click on the relevant item.
Once you have selected the classification type, you will be taken to the list. In the image below, the Amazon classification was selected:
Here you will see the list of all classifications by description and by code. You can search this list by typing in the classification description or a code or a relevant word (for example “art”). You can see the list of the most used if you click on the Most Used button, or if you want to see the most recent click on the Most Recent button.
Clicking on the Navigate button, down-pointing arrows will show up next to each classification on the list:
Clicking on an arrow will then take you to a list of all related classifications. In the example below, an arrow next to the History description has been clicked:
To edit a classification, click on the relevant item from the list and the following screen will come up:
Note: You will only be able to edit proprietary codes.
Here you can see the details of the selected classification. Note that you can’t change classifications that are shared with organisations. You will be able to edit classifications that are only yours, as in the example below:
Here you can edit the info. Click the Update button when you are finished. Also, please note that if you change a classification that was already created and allocated to various titles, the title records will all change accordingly.
