Book Series

To create a Book Series select Book Sets/Series from the main Title Manager menu and then click on Book Series and you will be taken to the screen:

You can search your list by typing in the name of the book series in the search box.

Ticking the box in front of the book series and then clicking on the Remove Selected button you will remove the selected book series.

Clicking on the Show Archived and only archived book series will be visible on the list.

To create a new book series click on Create New button and the edit screen will show:

Enter an Identifier if you are using an external ID.

Select Imprint from the drop-down menu, if the series is only appropriate for a particular imprint.

Type in the Title Text - this is a compulsory field. 

Add a Title Prefix and Abbreviated Title if applicable.

Add  Print and Online ISSN if the series is a serial & has an ISSN.

Add a text about Series Aim and any Notes you might have in the provided empty fields.

Then you can add Series Description in the box where you can use different formats, add links and images.

When finished click on Create button.

To edit a series click on a series name from the list and the edit window will appear. 

Tick the Archived box if you want to archive the series.

There  will be several additional tabs shown in edit mode (depending on your permissions). . The first tab, General, is explained in the text above and here you can edit already added details about your book series.

When finished click the Update button.

This will take you to the new sub-tab Books:

 

Here you can add books to your book series. Enter the Number/Position, and find the book from your book list, you can edit the title by clicking on the notes symbol which will take you to Title Manager in for that record in a new tab.

You can also add books to series via the publisher tab within title manager.

Add as many books as you want to be in your series by clicking on Add another book.

Change the position of your titles by dragging them up and down along the arrows to the left of the bin symbol.

To delete a book from your book series just click on the bin symbol in front of the book.

When finished click on the Update button.
