Price Profiles

Price Profiles are a good way to manage a set of prices across a number of products. For instance, if you have many products at 5.99 & many products at 4.99, then you could create two price profiles: one for each. You can then attach the products to the profile, so if you wish to change 4.99 to 4.98, you can do so on one screen & all products on that profile will be updated.

Price Profiles can store more than one currency. The 5.99 price profile could contain a 5.99 USD price, a 4.99 GBP price and a 5.66 EUR price.  

Price Profiles can also store more than one price type. The 5.99 price profile could contain a 5.99 USD price with price type 1, a 4.99 GBP price with price type 2 with a tax breakdown, an agency price for GBP with price type 41 & 42 and a 5.66 EUR price type 1.

Each Price Profile is applicable to only one supplier.

Creating a profile:

Price profile admin can be found on the left-hand menu within the General menu item.

Navigate to: General -> Price Profiles

Click Create New:

Give the profile a name. Then give the profile a description to help with finding the correct profile for any editing that may need to happen later.

Clear the blue Create button and more tabs will appear that allow you to add prices to the profile. Add all of the prices related to this profile, as shown in the screenshot below.

You can now add that price profile to a book via the price tab.
