Categorising the Title

A mandatory requirement for various bibliographic data feeds, and good practice to ensure your title(s) are linked to the right markets, is to allocate categories to your title. You have many options in this part of the system, but the industry requirements are: BICs (UK Market), BISACs (North American Market) and the new categorisation: Thema, which will work in both American and UK markets.

The Stison Title Manager module will come to your organisation with these subjects already in place. You just have to click onto the magnifying glasses beside the blank field and choose accordingly.

If you start first with the Thema code, you can then click on the green Remap button and the BICs and BISACs will automatically be drawn to match whatever you allocated in the Thema field.

There are options to add your own company-specific subjects within this tab as well. The items discussed above are the mandatory ones, and so for now we will leave it at that.
