Adding Contributors to a Title

Once you begin to add title data to your Stison system, you'll want to add information about contributors, such as author names, illustrator names, biographies etc. 

You may want to bulk upload all your contacts from a separate spreadsheet of their own, bringing in their biographical notes and other data at the same time. Otherwise, you can add contributors one at a time. To do so, click into the second tab of a title's record and you will be taken to your complete list of contributors:

You'll want to establish the Contributor's Role first (in the example above, we have listed the Author). Then, by clicking on the little magnifying glass that we've circled in red, a pop-up window linking back to the contacts already on your system will appear. We've marked with two arrows the name we have linked to the title so you can see where the information is actually pulled in from.  

You'll also notice that there are two sub tabs in this screen. We are in the first sub tab above, but you can also add/edit the contributor's statement in the second tab.

More information is available about how to ensure that your contributors' information is configured onto your system so that by the time you come to link a contributor within a title record, the name is ready for you to pull.

Click on the blue Update button when you are finished, otherwise the information will be not be saved.

Once you have linked all of the necessary contributors to the title, you are ready for the next steps: Adding ISBNs, Formats, Pub Dates and Publisher Details.
