Print Run Data Fields Follow
Clicking on the Print Runs tab will take you to this screen:
This tab provides fields for keeping records of particular print runs, such as the paper type, weight, finish, etc and includes a calculator for establishing the estimated cost of printing your books. In the image above, you can see this estimated cost is red.
By clicking on the Create a Print Run (indicated by the signpost) on the top right-hand side, you will be taken to the Reports section of Production Manager where you will see Print Run reports of similar cost, you can Download this report to your device by clicking on Download:
Fill in the empty fields about your print run are as it follows:
- Page Height, Page Width, and Thickness metrical or imperial depending on your configuration. You can add Weight, Number of pages, Text Pages and Illustration Pages
- Check the box if you want this print run to be Archived. Add a Run number in the empty square.
- Print Run Label: It should be the same as Production label.
- Printer: Choose the relevant printer from this drop-down menu. To add new printers head to Contacts -> Organisation admin, check the printer checkbox.
- Order Number: This can be an internal number or a supplier number.
- Ordered?: Tick this box if the order has been sent to the printer.
- Sent/ Expected/ Received/Confirmed: Choose the dates from the calendars provided.
- Quantity Ordered: A numerical value for the print run.
- Quantity Confirmed: Tick this box if is it confirmed
- Confirmed by: Enter the name of a person that confirmed the quantity
- Delivered: Numerical value for the actual number of copies delivered.
- Publicity Covers: Numerical value for a set of extra jackets printed for publicity.
- Adv. Copies to Publ.: Numerical value for a set of advance copies for publicity.
- Reprint: Tick this item if this is not the first print run.
- Unit Cost: Choose from the drop-down menu to establish the currency, then put in the numerical value per copy.
- Estimated Cost: The system will automatically calculate the estimated cost based on the Quantity Ordered and the Unit Cost.
- Actual Cost: This is how much is the real cost and there is option to add an invoice number
- New Cover: Tick this item if you are reprinting a title with a new cover.
Paper details:
Select a Section from the drop down menu, depending if you want to add details about cover, text paper, spine etc. Add Type, Colour, Weight, Finish
Add another: Click here if you have more information about the paper
Additional paper details: Add paper description and comments about the Spine and Binding
You can add more Comments about Project, Print Run and Form in the spaces provided.
You can also add Notes for Printer. This is intended to be used in your order forms. If you wish to add 'Notes to Printer' to your Order Form template, please email helpdesk@stison.com
When finished click on Update
