My ONIX feed has failed - how can I fix it? Follow
There could be a number of reasons why your ONIX feed has failed. Here are a few steps you can take to investigate the possible causes:
- Check if your feed has Passive Mode switched on
This is a common cause of send failures. Open the General tab of the feed that has failed and press the blue "Modify Connection Details" button, followed by the blue "Modify default port or mode" button. This will then take you to the following screen:
If the checkbox circled above is unchecked, this may have caused the feed failure. Check the box and press "Run Now" to test your feed.
2. Check if your recipient's connection details are up to date
It may be that there has been an update to your recipient's server and that your feed can no longer send due to outdated connection details. If your data is stuck, it's always worth checking what may be happening at the other end.
3. Check if your ONIX is sending to the right path
The Path/Folder field in the General tab of a destination refers to specific folders within your recipient's FTP or SFTP site. If nothing here is specified, or if the path is incorrect, the feed won't know where to deposit the file. Make sure you know exactly where your recipient would like the data to be placed and check if this is specified within your feed's connection details.
