Bulk Uploading Thema

Thema, Bic and Bisac are key ways of categorising your titles, and Stison allows you to quickly and easily apply these categorisations to your titles.

When uploading Thema, Bic or Bisac, the values that you enter into your spreadsheet for upload must be the codes rather than the titles of these categorisations. When entering multiple values in a single cell, please ensure that the values are separated by semi-colons.

We have provided an example in the screenshot below of how that might look:

To ensure that you have the correct codes, you can use this Thema list, or alternatively, you can use the search button within the Subject tab in Title Management, which will provide you with a full list of Thema, Bic or Bisac codes. Simply select navigate and you will be able to browse the codes:

Stison's re-mapping tool

The re-mapping tool in the Subjects tab can help you in matching Bic and Bisac codes according to your choice of Thema. When bulk uploading Thema, Stison will automatically map the appropriate Bic and Bisac codes accordingly. As with the manual upload process, we always recommend checking this mapping.
