Linking Outputs Follow
You may have more than one format within a project's production schedule - for instance a HB, PB and Epub. The outputs tab is where you will link all formats to this project within the module. In the following screenshot, you will see that we have linked three formats within the project called Title 17.
1) Navigate to the Outputs tab of the particular project.
2) The format through which you originally linked the title into Book Production (either from Title Manager or Editorial) will be the first and only format currently linked to the project. In the below example, you can see that the title was brought through to Book Production via Title Manager because the first two boxes have not been ticked. We will leave them that way because they don't need to be.
3) Move down the page and click onto add another output to link further forms. This will open another set of fields as per the earlier image. Click into the magnifier icon in order to search for the relevant form in Title Manager. Do this as many times as you need.
In our example, we've linked three titles to this project. The Paperback was the form through which this production record was created via Title Management. The PDF and Epub were then linked via the outputs tab.
From here onward you need to ensure that all of the staff members who are responsible for updating the system throughout the production schedule for the title are aware and keep up to date with their data.
Once the projects production schedule is completed, we recommend that you archive the print run. Otherwise, the information will stay in the Book Production list, despite the fact that the pub date and delivery have both come and gone. This could make it a confusing item on your schedule.
You can now view a number of reports available on the system.
There is further information available about the functionality of the Production Module.
