Archiving Print Runs from Book Production Follow
Please note that once you have confirmed all tasks related to a project's schedule are completed, your Print Run will automatically be archived by the system. Here are instructions for manually archiving a Print Run, for instance of a Print Run has been cancelled, etc.
To Archive a Title:
- Navigate to the main Book Production list.
- Click the little box beside the title name. In cases where a title has more than one Print Run, please ensure that you are selecting the correct record.
- Click on the red Remove Selected button.
- Click Update.
- To ensure the title has moved over to the archived section, click onto the Show Archived button, which we've circled in red in the following screen shot:
In this part of your Book Production module you can see a title's complete printing history, rather than just what is currently on the production schedule. We have provided an example in the image below. In order to return to the titles that are on your forward schedule, click onto the Show Active button, circled below in the screenshot:
If you click into one of the items in the Archived list, you will be taken to the relevant tab within the title's Book Production record, as shown here:
As shown in the screenshot above, the Reprint 2020 edition of Title 01 has been archived, as shown by the check mark in the Archived field.
The 'New' tab that appears next to the First Print Run and Reprint 2020 tabs exists against all titles that are added in Book Production. It is the tab you will use when you are adding a 'new' print run to the schedule before you physically change the label to something like: Reprint 2022, Special PB edition, etc.
By the time you've come to archive a title from the Book Production list, you are now completely finished with the production schedule of a particular title and ready to start the whole process again for your next publishing season!
