Testing Your Data with Barnes & Noble Follow
Barnes & Noble is a brick & mortar and online retailer based in North America. They currently accept ONIX 2.1 files; they are coding for ONIX 3.0, but are not yet ready to start accepting ONIX 3.0 files. Once they are, you can very easily switch your data over to 3.0 with the tick of a button.
In order to begin the testing process, you will need to send an email to Barnes & Noble directly. You can access the specific email address by visiting the further information link at the bottom of this article. A folder will then be set up on the B&N SFTP site where you can deposit your test file. Your file will be processed and a contact from B&N will then get back to you either with issues they've found, or approval to go into production.
Key Points:
- You must first become a Vendor of Record in the B&N warehouse before you can start submitting data to Barnes & Noble.
- Due to the volume of requests, it may take several days for an account to be processed.
- Whilst non-mandatory data is not required, they are often examples of industry good-practice, and so we recommend that you try to integrate those corrections as well. The cleaner and more complete your data is, the better your products will be represented in your markets.
- Protocol should be set to SFTP/Port 22.

Once your test feeds have been approved, you can then set up a regular feed on your Stison system.
