Cover Checklist Follow
Your Stison system has the Cover Checklist, a report that can be created as your organisation begins to populate items within Book Production - Production Checklist. It is designed to replicate the paper versions that publishers used to use.
In order to add a title to this checklist, which must be done manually, you need to access the item through Book Production - Production Checklist, as shown below. In this example, we have ticked the item called 'Check List'.
There is also an option to add a title from Editorial, to the Cover Checklist within the separate tab for Production Roles. Whilst at this stage you have not created a Production Checklist within Production, doing this will add the title to your Cover Checklist with the default Production Checklist schedule applied. You can see what we mean in the following screenshot.
To access and manipulate titles once they are within this report, navigate to Production - Cover Checklist. You will see a separate report that acts as a sort of checklist, putting all tasks associated with the production of a title into a format where you can add dates when items are completed. By adding the information here, you are also simultaneously updating the schedule in the Title Record.
Here is a screenshot of how the Cover Checklist can appear on your screen:
You will notice that, with multiple schedule templates for the Production Checklist, this report can look slightly messy. This is why we would recommend that for the Production Checklist, you maintain one default schedule that applies to all titles.
You have the option to add tasks from your production schedules as tick boxes or as dates. The default is to have them set as tick boxes. You can configure the system to reflect dates by navigating to: Production Admin - Tasks/Costs. Click into the relevant task and ensure that 'date in checklist' is ticked. The relevant item is circled in red in the screenshot below.
Once you have input the final completed date for the last task of a schedule, you will receive the following message:
You may not want to delete the item from the checklist now. If this is the case, click on Cancel. When you are ready to remove it at a later date, you can do so by clicking on the red cross above each title name, as shown below:
Please also note that by clicking onto the title's name at the top of the screen, you will be taken back into the title's record within Title Manager. If you click on the speedo icon (just after the title), you will be taken into production - if a production record exists for the title (in other words, if it is not an Editorial title).
