The Subject Tab - Editorial Follow
The Subject tab is where you can start to categorise your title, adding it to standard industry categories, as well as including information on any illustrations included in the project.
Illustrations: Select a Type from the drop-down menu, and then enter the number of illustrations in the field beside it called: Count. You can add as many types of illustrations as your title has by just clicking on Add another illustration. E.g.: 20 colour illustrations, 35 B&W illustrations.
Audience: Choose an item from the drop-down menu. There are options for children's books such as Children. Alternatively, you can use General / Adult for all other books. If you need to add more audience types, click on Add another audience type.
Thema Codes: Thema is the primary code list used by Stison. Adding individual Thema codes will then provide you with the opportunity to map these to their respective Bisac codes. You can also add Bisac separately.
It is encouraged to add as many relevant Thema Codes as possible. Also, Nielsen will reject the title if you submit it level 1 or 2 codes. WM (Gardening), for instance, is not specific enough, but WMPF (Gardening: Fruit and Vegetable) is acceptable.
To add more categories, click on add another Thema code and fill in the description.
BISAC Codes: These are categories specific to North America, once you have mapped through from Thema it is possible to add additional codes by selecting the Box and typing in the Name of the code or the code itself and the system will provide a drop down for you to select from. Please note that the master category should be the first subject (this will appear Dark Blue in the list as opposed to the others that are light blue). You can drag and drop subjects to order them.
To Delete a Bisac code select the X on the right hand side of the relevant code.
