Searching the Sales Data and Generating Monthly Sales Reports/Analysis Follow
Once your Sales and Royalties Manager is up and running, and you are using the system to display and reflect your monthly sales, you can search for sales lines in a number of different ways. In the first instance, you want to go to: Sales/Royalties - Sales.
The following will be displayed on your computer:
As you can see above, the system is automatically set up to reflect a month's worth of sales from whatever date you access this part of the system. If you want to see more than one month, you can change the dates to do so.
Once your dates are established, then you can use the search box to find information by:
- Title
- ISBN
- Author
- Sales Organisation
This is the most basic way of searching for information. You also have the ability to search through a set of filters. If you click on the Advanced Filters button above, you will see the following menu:
When you have established the item(s) you want to display, then click on Go. In the following example, we have only added 1 sales transaction so you can get an idea of how the information will be displayed on your screen:
As with any other part of the Stison system, you can view the information directly on your screen or you can download it into CSV or Excel files that you can then share. This enables you to create reporting that can be used by any number of departments within your company.
These reports can help you analyse the progress of front list titles and track how much bottom line revenue is being generated after all of the costs are taken out (including royalties).
Tips and Tricks
If the report that you have run does not generate in screen, then it may be because the system has sent a link to the final report to you. This will appear as an email, which can be accessed via the area highlighted here:
