Open Access Follow
Open access titles have a few additional bits of data that needs to be stored in the system.
On the rights tab:
If I have an open access title with CC BY NC ND license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/) , for example, where can I store that information so it will feed out correctly in the ONIX?
Open access license / type link can be stored within the title on the rights tab > ebook restrictions sub tab.
On the price tab:
Additionally you should set the item as unpriced on the price tab (bottom right corner of each supplier group). When you click unpriced, you will be shown unpriced-item type where you put "free of charge".
On the publisher tab:
Default publisher role is 01. You can add additional publishers with roles, on the publisher tab within Title Management. Click on the down arrow to the right of "publisher".
That will open a set of fields where you can add another publisher with a different role. For instance, publication funder, co-publisher, research funder, etc.
You can include a link to the content under Product Websites. Simply choose the Link Type from the drop-down and include the hyperlink and a short description.
On the blurbs tab:
Add another text composite which is an "Open Access Statement".
On the ISBN tab:
Mark the title as Open Access, that adds additional pre-flight checks. It also will set the product so that the open access statement only gets sent with product formats that are "open access".
