Configuring Rights Descriptions

Before you can start adding rights contracts to your module, there is some configuration you need to do first.

Navigate to the menu item: Rights --> Configuration --> Description. You will be taken to this screen:

The screen will be empty if you haven't already created any descriptions.

Rights Descriptions will be the different labels you give to a range of rights types - such as Co-Edition, Translation, Film & TV Rights, etc. 

To create new descriptions, click on the Create New button and you will be taken to this screen:

Enter the Label and check the relevant Rights Type check box. The items are as follows:

• AI Description - enables the label to be available in the AI editor.
• Contracts - enables the label to be available in the main Rights Contracts section of the module.
• Options - enables the label to be available in the Rights Options section of the module. 
• Released/Holding Reason

Please note that you cannot tick more than one Rights Type at a time. Therefore, if you have for instance audio rights, you may want this to be available for Contracts and Options.

When you have completed these items, click on the Create button. 

Repeat these steps for all of the descriptions you need. When you are finished, you are ready to add a rights contract.
