Adding and Editing Assets Follow
Selecting Assets from the main Asset Management menu will take you to the screen where you will find the list of all your assets in different formats: JPG, XLS, PDF, CSV, etc depending on the documents attached to your titles.
It might be a cover image if it is a JPG, or an XLS spreadsheet if it is a budget, or a Word document if it is a contract:
You can search your assets list by typing in a title, a format or a word related to your search in the search box. To download the list of your assets as an XLS document, just click on the Download button in the upper right corner of the screen. This is a great way of checking which titles on your system are missing cover images, for instance.
If you click on the Show All tab, you will see the complete list of all of your assets. To narrow down your list and see only documents that you are interested in, click on the tabs for different filters: AIs, Contracts, Contributors, Covers, Titles, Sales, Payments, Authors Declaration, Ebook Files, Generated AIs, Indesign Files.
To remove an asset, just click on the box in front of the asset you want to remove and click on the Remove Selected button.
To edit an asset, or to see what objects the asset is linked to, click on the relevant asset from the list and you will be taken to a new screen:
Here you can change the Asset Name and add an Alternative Name. When you are done, click on Update in order to save your information.
You can also download different aspects of the asset, like, for example on the image above, thumbnail or native image- just click on the aspect and it will be downloaded to your device.
You can also view the rights held on an asset, using the link symbol in the Asset list. The link will be grey where no rights are recorded, and blue where rights information has been entered:
By selecting this icon, the following pop-up will appear, allowing you to enter information on rights held:
