Tags can help you more efficiently organise your contacts, contributors and titles. They can have a hierarchal structure to help with the sorting and retrieval of data.

It is possible to add Tags to your title records in bulk via a spreadsheet upload. Before you do this, you need to make sure that the tags you want to upload exist in your database - for more information about why tags can be useful, and how to create them, see here.

We have added the ability for you to bulk upload tags with the "Book" tag type to your title records. These tags appear at the product form level, meaning that each tag uploaded will only apply to the corresponding ISBN/identifier. 

Both Content and Book tag types now have corresponding column headings on the upload screen when mapping your columns. This means that a spreadsheet that aims to upload both kinds of tags may look something like this: 

Note that you must make sure that all of your tags are separated by a semi-colon. Each tag must end with a semi-colon, even if it is the only one in that cell. 

Once your sheet is ready, click Upload on the main Book List screen, select your file, and make sure the columns are correctly mapped. 

Once you press upload, you will be able to view both Tag Types on the Tags Tab of a Title Record.
