To create a new contact, click on the Create New button and you will be taken to the following screen:
Choose Organisation from the drop down menu. Tick the appropriate Type box and Sections box.
Choose a Title from the drop down menu. Then, type in First Name, Last Name and Salutation (if relevant).
Click on Choose file to browse and select an Image from your device. Enter Company, Position and Agent. Click on the looking glass symbol to select a Company and Agent from your existing list of companies and agents.
To add more information, click on More Details and new fields will open:
Enter Qualifications/Honours, Titles (After Names), Affiliation, ISNI and ORCID.
Tick the box if this is author’s Alias / Nom de Plume
Enter the Date of Birth (and Death if relevant).
Click on Contact Details and then on a note symbol. New fields will open:
Choose a Contact Type from the drop down menu and add the Value. Click on “+” to add another Value if necessary.
To add another contact method, click on: Add another contact method.
To delete a row, just click on the bin symbol in front of the row you want to delete. To change the order of contact methods, just move them up and down along the arrows in front of each row.
To add an address click on Addresses and new fields will show up:
Tick the correct box if the address is Default or/and Royalties Default.
Select the Type from the drop down menu and type in the Address, City/Town, County/State, Postcode/Zip.
Select Country from the drop down menu.
To add another address, click on: Add another address.
To delete an address, click on the bin symbol in the upper right corner.
To add Marketing details, click on Marketing and new fields will open:
Tick the box if the marketing is Catalogue or/and Mail, and select the Source from the drop-down menu.
If you want to add Notes and/or details about Conferences, click on Notes/Conferences and a box for your note will open. Type the text you want to appear there.
To add Tags (filters), click on Type Filters and 3 sub-tabs will show up:
Current: Select from the drop-down menu from your existing tags if the new tag has a parent tag. If the tag is independent, then leave the field as -parent- and type in the name of the tag (for example: cookery). When you are finished, click the Add button.
Click on the Recent tab and all recently used tags will show up. Just tick a box in front of the tag you wish to apply.
Click on All and all tags/filters you created will be there. Choose accordingly.
When you are finished adding all the info about your new contact, click the Create button.
